Locations

When planning the music video, our group planned some location where the shots for our music video were going to take place. Here are some of the locations that our group though about when planning the music video and the reasons why we chose those locations.

The first location that our group thought about was the room that was under construction in Daniels house. Because the room was empty and it had the sort of background theme for our music video, we thought it was an ideal location for us to film. The room was an ideal size for taking little shots of the artist (Daniel) with the girl (Lauren) that is included in our music video. This would be done with a tripod for a still shot. The room isn't too small so it was easy filming in the room when all the tools were cleared out of it. The only bad thing about the location was it had a hazard risk which was exposed live wire from electrical sockets but we covered them up in case one of us were to fall and trip onto the wire and accidentally touch the live wire.

The second location that our group thought about was the bathroom in Daniels house as well. When our group thought about the bathroom, we thought that it would be a good idea to film some scenes in the bathroom such as someone sitting in the bath with drugs and wine/beer bottles around them would be a good  shot to go with out theme of music video.

Another shot that our group though about was not taking shots of the actual person, but taking shots of the actors shadows against a white wall. We thought about doing this in the drama-studio in the school, but we have not yet been able to book the drama studio as it has been busy due to GCSE tests for the lower school. Also, inside the drama studio, our group have though about using the green screen so we can have some cool backgrounds and effects in our music video but we have not yet used or practiced with it.

The last location that our group thought about using was an urban area'd alley way in between buildings. We thought that if we had some back lighting for the artist and the artist was singing, walking down the alley way looking towards the camera, it would be a nice shot. We thought about using this type of shot for the more quiet part of the song in our music video.
